Religion Next week we will be learning about the Holy Spirit. We will learn that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us and remind us of the things that Jesus taught.
Reading
Our story this week will be Let's Camp Out. Our new words are: sticks, sun, twigs, fire, snow, mud, eat, try, under, old.
We will continue to work on the sound of long "a". We will also be learning about contractions. W
e will be taking our book 3 test and having a writer's workshop. Our new words for the following week will be:

Phonics
We continue to learn about the long vowel sound of "a" as in "cake".
Math We are working on "time". We are learning to tell time using the hour and the half hour.

Handwriting Our letters for next week will be : ,"Hh", and "Vv". We continue to practice our letter formation by writing poems.
Science We will begin by learning about the basic needs of all living things. We will learn what makes classifies something as a living thing. We will also learn that environments have living and nonliving parts.
